Writing
Writing is one of the ways I Unloop and find my own voice in an increasingly noisy world.
It helps me see life a little more clearly, a little more lightly, and ultimately helps me live my happy too.
For as long as I can remember, stories have been part of how I make sense of the world.
I have always believed that everyone has a story to tell.
There is nothing I love more than being swept away by a story—whether it is one shared across a kitchen table, found between the pages of a book, or discovered in the brief moments of everyday life.
My writing lives mostly on Substack — a space where I explore the ideas, questions and lived experiences that shape Unloop.
You'll find reflections on:
• being at a crossroads
• navigating uncertainty
• understanding loops and patterns
• relationships, family and identity
• nervous systems, neuroscience and behaviour
• what it means to come back to yourself
Some pieces are practical. Some reflective. Some deeply personal. All of them explore what it means to free your voice, know your nature and live your happy. You are welcome to read, subscribe, or simply dip in when something calls you.
Puff & Fin
I've always loved stories. As a child growing up in Cornwall, I spent as much time outdoors as I could—exploring cliffs, beaches and wild places, often alongside my dad in his veterinary practice. Nature, animals and adventure have shaped me for as long as I can remember, and they find their way into almost everything I write.
Puff & Fin and the Scraggler Army of Cuckoo Rock began as a bedtime story for my two children when we were living abroad and all feeling a little homesick. Set amongst the beauty and wildlife of the Isles of Scilly, it follows two unlikely puffin friends on a warm, funny and adventurous journey of belonging, friendship, finding your own voice and discovering what happens to love when it leaves. The 7+ story was developed on the Curtis Brown Creative Children's Writing Course and is currently making its way into the world, one flap of a puffin wing at a time.
An e-book will be coming soon.
